About Me

Passionate Explorer

A qualified mountain leader and mountain bike instructor, I’ve had the good fortune of transforming my passions for adventure and working with people into a successful career. I’m also incredibly privileged to have guided in remote and beautiful locations all over the world, including Australia, Europe, the South Atlantic and the USA.

My mission now is to showcase the UK, offering raw adventure experiences, with a back to basics, no nonsense attitude.  My packages are aimed at busy individuals or small groups who struggle to find the time to explore what the UK has to offer. Leave the planning and guiding to me, just enjoy the experience of being outdoors in dramatic, beautiful locations.

With over 15 years adventure training experience, I am a member of the British Mountaineering Council and British Cycling, I am first aid qualified and fully insured to lead your raw adventure experience.

Packages Available

All mountain adventures are usually 1 or 2 full days - they are designed for busy people with limited free time. The maximum group size is 6.

I aim to compress a raw adventure hiking or biking experience into the minimum time possible, leaving you with memories, but making the most of your free time. All transport can be arranged and food is included; I will provide your rucksack and safety equipment, you just need appropriate boots and clothing. I offer Friday or Saturday departures (with weekdays available on request).

This is not a glamping experience...

Pen Y Fan

Packages from £50 per person.

Hike the highest point in South Wales, at 886m enjoy views accross the stunning Brecon Beacons. The area is used for SAS Selection and you often see military personnel training with their bergens packed full. However, our route is graded easy, and will take between 3 and 5 hours to complete. This adventure is a good introduction to the raw adventure experience. Add extra peaks and/or wild swimming to your itinerary if you feel you need more action.

Cadair Idris

Packages from £65 per person.

At 893m, legend says this peak is named after a giant called Idris. ‘Cadair Idris’ in English means ‘Chair of Idris’. The most well-known tale is that if you spend the night on the mountain, you’ll end up mad or a poet. The eastern slopes are a regular haunt for fans of the Mach Loop low flying aircraft practice area.

This hike is graded moderate to hard and will take between 5 and 7 hours to complete.

The Glyders

Packages from £75 per person.

Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach stand at 1001m and 994m respectively. The word "Glyder" is believed to derive from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones. The hike includes the famous Cantilever Stone and Devils Kitchen. The summits are like a scene from Lord of The Rings.

A challenging hike graded hard, this will take between 6 and 9 hours.

What to Expect

I will tailor an adventure to your specific requirements. Travel will be arranged, some clients choose to self-drive, whereas others prefer collection from their home address. I will arrange accommodation to suit your budget / package. The itinerary can be whatever you want it to be, peak bagging, summit sunrises, bothy adventures, the only limitations are your imagination.

Ask me about hiking Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the Peak District or Scafell Pike, wild swimming in Wastwater, Coasteering, or wild camping. I can also provide Canadian Kayak day trips, Paddle Boarding, or Mountain Bike guiding at the best Trail Heads in the UK.
